Biography —
I grew up in the rural town of Centerview, MO, and earned my B.S. in chemistry from University of Central Missouri in Spring of 2025. Throughout my undergrad career I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work on multiple projects at different institutions. I completed an REU at the University of Kansas with Dr. James Blakemore, where I synthesized and characterized uranyl crown complexes and with support from group 10 metals. I was an SROP Materials Chemistry for Renewable Energy participant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison under guidance of Dr. Song Jin where I evaluated redox reservoir materials to use to intercalate proton and hydroxide ions to pair with renewable energy grids for Modular Electrochemical Synthesis. Lastly, I did undergrad research at UCM with KU alumni Dr. Joshua Parham where I optimized stability of Ni-catalyzed CGC peptides. Now I'm at the University of Kansas pursuing my PhD in chemistry! Outside of the lab, I enjoy reading, hiking trails at different National Parks, and am ALWAYS ready to play a game, whether it be sports, cards, anything!
